Aquasierra

Aquasierra is the only water park in Córdoba province, at Villafranca de Córdoba beside the A-4, open each summer since 1987 on a 47,000 m² site with slides, a lake pool and splash zone.

About Aquasierra

Aquasierra lies beside the A-4 at Villafranca de Córdoba, about 25 km east of Córdoba. It opened in 1987 and has run every summer since, making it one of Andalucía's oldest water parks and the only one in Córdoba province. The 47,000 m² site has lawns, shade trees and a covered car park.

The faster slides are Black Hole, Kamikaze and Lengua del Dragón. Río Bravo Grande, Río Bravo Chico and Río Aventura are ring rides down artificial rapids, and the Pistas Blandas are racing mat slides. There are two spiral slides and the large Piscina del Lago. Small children have a pool with low slides and water games, plus a separate splash zone. Prices and ride rules go by height.

In 2026 it opened daily from 17 June to 30 August, 11:30 to 20:00. A full day cost €18 for adults, €16 for children 125 to 140 cm and over-65s and €13 for children 90 to 125 cm; under 90 cm go free. From 16:00 prices drop to €12, €11 and €9. You may bring food, cool boxes and folding chairs (no glass), and there is a restaurant and kiosk. Covered parking costs €2, with a free car park opposite. Buses run from Córdoba bus station.

Weekdays are quieter, and the afternoon ticket is good value on the hottest days. Loungers cost €2.50. Rings for the rapids can be rented but run out, so arrive early. Swimwear is compulsory, and T-shirts are not allowed on the slides.

Nearby places to visit

Aquasierra sits in the Guadalquivir valley east of Córdoba, so it pairs well with a day in the city. The Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba (20 km), the Roman Bridge of Córdoba (20 km) and the patios of the Palacio de Viana (19 km) are all within half an hour. The Mercado de la Corredera (20 km) has cafés on its arcaded square. Upriver, the hill town of Montoro (18 km) has a 15th-century bridge over the Guadalquivir. For animals, the Zoo de Córdoba (21 km) is beside the Alcázar, but it closes in August, when Aquasierra is at its busiest.
