Bodegas Campos

Córdoba restaurant in a winery founded in 1908 near the Plaza del Potro, with patios, signed casks and award-winning rabo de toro, plus a taberna for tapas and Montilla wine.

About Bodegas Campos

Bodegas Campos opened in 1908 as a winery that aged wines from Montilla and Moriles in this group of houses on Calle Lineros, close to the Plaza del Potro. Over the following century the bodega became a restaurant and taberna arranged around several Cordoban patios, with nine private dining rooms and casks dedicated by well-known guests. Its traditional rabo de toro won first prize from the Cofradía Gastronómica del Rabo de Toro Cordobés in 2023, and the oxtail 'almendritas' took the same prize in 2025.

The 2026 menu mixes Cordoban classics with lighter plates: salmorejo with ham and egg (€5), mazamorra (cold almond and bread soup), sheep's milk and ham croquetas, alboronía (a Moorish-rooted vegetable stew) with fried egg, flamenquín of Iberian pork, rabo de toro (€29) and oxtail rice. Ham comes from Los Pedroches, and Montilla-Moriles finos are served by the glass.

Lunch is served daily (Monday 13:30-16:00, Sunday 13:00-16:30) and dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 20:00, until 22:30 midweek and 23:00 at weekends. Small plates cost €3-7.50 and mains €20-32 (2026); allow €40-55 per person with wine. Book online; there is an English menu and free parking at Paseo de la Ribera, 10.

For tapas without a booking, try the taberna at the start of lunch; for the patios, reserve for 14:00 or 21:00. Artichokes appear in winter and spring, cold soups in summer. Groups must choose a set menu in advance.
