Bodegas Privilegio del Condado (Vinícola del Condado)
Growers' cooperative in Bollullos Par del Condado, once the largest in Andalucía, whose Privilegio del Condado bodega shares a site with the free Condado de Huelva wine centre.
About Bodegas Privilegio del Condado (Vinícola del Condado)
For decades this was the largest wine cooperative in Andalucía and one of the first in Spain, within the DO Condado de Huelva, recognised in 1962. In 2002 it launched its own brand, Bodega Privilegio del Condado. It works mainly with Zalema, making young whites such as Mioro, sweet and orange wines, generosos aged in solera, sparkling wines and wines aimed at younger drinkers.
The visit covers the old arched bodega halls with albero floors and stacked butts, the modern winery with its stainless steel tanks and, in some packs, a walk in the vineyards. Tastings are guided by the bodega team and paired with local food. On the same site, the Centro del Vino del Condado de Huelva, run by Huelva provincial council, presents the area's wine history in multimedia rooms with projections, which works well before or after the tour.
Visits are by booking Monday to Friday 09:00–15:00 and Saturday 09:00–13:00 on +34 959 410 261. In 2026 a two-hour visit with four wines and food was listed from €17, with six-wine versions at €32 and €42; confirm with the bodega. The wine centre opens Tuesday to Saturday 10:00–14:00 with free entry. The shop sells the range at cellar prices.
The harvest from late August to September is the busiest time, and the Bollullos wine week and bodega route fill the town in mid-October. Buy a bottle of Mioro or the orange wine. The wine centre is run by the council, so check its hours separately.
