Bodegas Andrade

Family winery in Bollullos Par del Condado with roots back to 1700, offering tours of its protected 1885 bodega, a wine museum and vineyard walks with tastings, Monday to Saturday.

About Bodegas Andrade

Family papers place the Andrades' first vineyards at the La Parrilla estate in 1700, and by 1885 Antonio Andrade Barquero was exporting wine to England. In 1910 the bodega housed the management of the Condado wine railway, and in 1984 it was the first Andalusian winery to bottle a white wine, Castillo de Andrade. The sixth generation now runs about 140 hectares of vines and makes DO Condado de Huelva whites from Zalema, sweet and oloroso wines, orange wine, Rosario vermouth and vinegars.

The basic tour visits the 1885 bodega, a protected building that keeps the layout of an old Andalusian solera cellar. It also takes in the Nave del Lagar, a press house that once stored goods for the wine railway, and the wine museum in the Catedral del Vino, with 19th-century machinery. The full tour starts with a walk through the vines and a vermouth tasting at a viewpoint, and ends with wines and tapas in the old bodega.

Visits run Monday to Saturday. In 2026 the bodega and museum tour costs from €16.50 and the vineyard, bodega and museum tour €24.50. The Esencia de Huelva visit pairs wines with mojama, ham and prawns (€55 on Fridays, 48 hours' notice). Book on +34 655 753 765. The town is 30 minutes from Seville.

The Condado harvest is in late August and September, and Bollullos holds its wine week and bodega route in October. Buy the orange wine, made from Zalema with orange peel and mentioned in Juan Ramón Jiménez's Platero y yo.
