Magna Golf Marbella

Magna Marbella Golf, now also branded PG by Magna Marbella, is a nine-hole par-29 course in Nueva Andalucía, Marbella, with a driving range for 34 players.

About Magna Golf Marbella

Magna Marbella Golf is a nine-hole course on Calle Calderón de la Barca in Nueva Andalucía, the district of Marbella known as Golf Valley, about 2 km inland from Puerto Banús. Leave the motorway at the Puerto Banús exit and follow signs for Nueva Andalucía. It is now also branded PG by Magna Marbella.

Designed by José María Elguezábal, the course plays to a par of 29, so most of the holes are par 3s. It is no pitch-and-putt, though: water comes into play on many holes, most greens are guarded by bunkers, and the elevated tees and fast greens reward accuracy over power. That makes it suitable for beginners and a useful sharpener for better players before tackling the full-length courses next door.

Practice is a strength here. The driving range has room for 34 players, 12 of them under cover, and there are two large putting greens of more than 500 square metres in total, a chipping area and practice bunker, plus a golf school, clubhouse, and buggy, club and trolley hire.

Autumn, winter and spring are the most comfortable seasons. A nine-hole round fits easily into an early summer morning, or a late afternoon in winter.
