Horse Riding in the Pinares de Aznalcázar

Guided rides from Aznalcázar through the stone-pine forest of the Pinares de Aznalcázar, on the edge of Doñana, to the Guadiamar and the Vado del Quema ford; 2-hour rides from €30–40 (2026).

About Horse Riding in the Pinares de Aznalcázar

The Pinares de Aznalcázar are a large stone-pine forest on sandy soil south of Aznalcázar, within the Doñana Natural Park and biosphere reserve. Wide sandy tracks, firebreaks and cañadas reales, the old royal drove roads, make it one of the best riding areas within half an hour of Seville. The pines also lie on a route that Seville brotherhoods follow on horseback and in carts each spring on the Romería pilgrimage to El Rocío.

Riding centres on the forest edge offer one- and two-hour rides at a walk for beginners, family rides and longer routes for experienced riders. The classic half-day ride crosses the pines, follows a raised track above the Guadiamar riverside forest with views back to Aznalcázar, and reaches the Vado del Quema, the ford where Rocío brotherhoods cross the river.

Centro Ecuestre Entrepinares (Carretera Bollullos–Aznalcázar) lists two-hour rides from €30 at weekends and €40 on the Doñana park route, family and couple rides from €60 and private rides from €80. Hípica Las Minas, on the Las Minas golf estate, runs a 5-hour Vado del Quema ride for €75 (09:00–14:00, minimum four riders, age 8+, basic experience). Prices from 2025–2026 listings. Helmets are provided; wear long trousers. Not wheelchair accessible.

Best from October to May; in summer ride early. Avoid the Rocío weeks around Pentecost, when tracks are busy. Tip: weekend morning rides are the cheapest.
