About QuizyGolf Mini Golf Marbella

QuizyGolf is a 15-hole mini golf course on Marbella's seafront promenade, the Paseo Marítimo, at the Plaza del Mar shopping centre. Nine holes are laid out in the open air beside the promenade and six are indoors.

It was designed and built by Tematech, a Málaga start-up, with specialist theme-park and putting-green firms. Obstacles include a basketball-style hoop on the par-5 second, a maze whose doors can be opened or closed to change the difficulty, and a spiral that needs a firm strike. The course also bills itself as the only one with artificial rain.

In the QuizyCity game, each hole has a question about Marbella, its culture and local facts beside the instructions, and a correct answer takes a stroke off your card. A round lasts 40 minutes, children under 11 must play with an adult or someone over 16, and ice creams and drinks are sold on site.

Online booking opens 15 days ahead. It opens daily in summer, with hours varying the rest of the year, so check before going. Spring and early autumn suit the outdoor holes best; in July and August, come in the late afternoon, when the midday heat has eased, and walk the promenade afterwards.

The course sits right on the seafront, so beaches are the obvious pairing. Playa Casablanca (2 km) is a golden urban beach about 2 km long with volleyball nets, while Playa de la Bajadilla (2 km) is a popular 700-metre beach beside the town centre. Playa del Cable (2 km) is a broad urban beach of darker sand, and Playa del Pinillo (3 km) runs for about 1.6 km to the mouth of the Río Real. Furthest away, Playa Río Verde (4 km) has golden sand in the Puerto Banús area. The town's promenade links most of them, so they are easy to reach on foot or by bike.
