About Playa Mini Golf

Playa Mini Golf, which also trades as Blue Kiwi Mini Golf Bar, is a miniature golf course with a bar on Avenida Antonio Machado, the coast road of Benalmádena Costa, directly behind Playa de Santa Ana. The course has 12 holes.

The holes are set among landscaped gardens with views over the sea, and visitors describe the course as well kept, challenging but fun. Clubs come in three sizes and it is pitched at children from about six; there is also snooker. The bar serves cold drinks and homemade dishes, and online listings advertise a mini golf and burger combination, so a round easily turns into a meal.

It is a small, informal place. Capacity is limited and queues can form at busy times, and visitors report that opening hours are not always as listed, so phone ahead, especially out of season.

Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons to play. In July and August the course can be hot in the middle of the day, so come in the evening, when it stays open late and the temperature on the seafront drops.

The sand of Playa de Santa Ana (100 m), a short urban beach of dark sand, is just across the road. North-east past the Puerto Marina harbour, Playa de la Carihuela (2 km) is the beach of Torremolinos's old fishing quarter, known for its seafood restaurants, and Playa Rincón del Sol (3 km) is its north-eastern corner by the Punta de Torremolinos. For real golf, Benalmádena Golf (3 km) is a nine-hole pitch and putt open to everyone, while Golf Torrequebrada (3 km) is an 18-hole course on the hillside above the coast, designed by José 'Pepe' Gancedo and opened in 1976.
