Playa del Real de Zaragoza is a 1.7-kilometre beach on Marbella's eastern coast, in the Las Chapas district about 8 kilometres from the old town. It has golden sand about 30 metres wide, a moderate swell and a semi-urban setting.

Its length is its main asset. Even though it gets busy in high season, there is usually room to spread out, and the long, straight shore suits a walk at the water's edge towards the neighbouring beaches of Las Chapas. It is a practical choice for visitors staying in the residential estates of east Marbella who want a swim without driving into town.

Facilities include showers, sunbed and umbrella hire, litter bins, regular cleaning and places to eat and drink. There is no step-free access. The nearest road is the old N-340, and the nearest interurban bus stop is about 500 metres away.

June and September are the most comfortable months, with warm water and more room on the sand. In July and August arrive before late morning, or come for the last hours of daylight, when the heat drops and the beach empties.

Nearby places to visit

Playa de las Chapas (800 m) is the closest beach, a semi-urban stretch of about 650 metres with showers, sunbed hire and beach bars. To the west, Playa de Costa Bella (1 km) is a short section of shore backed by dunes. For golf, Greenlife Golf Marbella (2 km) is a short drive inland, with a Toptracer range to practise your swing, and Santa María Golf & Country Club (2 km) in Elviria has a traditional cortijo as its clubhouse. All are within a few minutes' drive along the coast road, so it is easy to switch beaches if one is crowded.
