Aquopolis Cartaya

Aquopolis Cartaya is the only big water park on the Huelva coast, on the road from Cartaya to El Rompido, with Kamikaze, Black Hole and Tornado slides, a wave pool and two kids' areas.

About Aquopolis Cartaya

Aquopolis Cartaya stands among pine woods on the road from Cartaya to El Rompido, about 5 km from the beach and close to the protected Río Piedras marshes. It is the main water park on the Huelva coast and belongs to Parques Reunidos, Spain's largest water park operator. It opens only in high summer, from early July to early September, and has about 400 parking spaces.

The high-thrill area has five big slides: Kamikaze, the steepest drop, the enclosed Black Hole, Tornado, Huracán and Torbellino. Families share multi-lane mat slides, Speed Race, the Zigzag, the wave pool, the Blue Lagoon pool and a jacuzzi. Younger children have Mini Park Pirata and Mini Park Infantil, with shallow water, small slides and water play. Height limits apply on most slides, and the park publishes a height guide.

In 2026 the park opened from 1 July to 6 September. Online tickets started at €16.90 over 140 cm and €15.90 for children 100 to 140 cm and over-65s, against box-office prices from €27.90 and €23.90. There are several restaurants and kiosks, lockers, changing rooms, shops and a VIP area with shaded loungers. DAMAS buses on the coast road between Huelva and Ayamonte stop at the park.

Online prices change with demand, so book ahead and pick a weekday. August weekends are busiest. Ride the big slides at opening and save the pools for later. Bring water shoes and sun cream, as shade is limited.
