About Club de Golf Campano
Golf Campano is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Chiclana de la Frontera, south of Cádiz, set among stone pines and olive trees off the N-340. It opened in 1985 as a nine-hole course called San Andrés Golf and stayed largely off the radar of visiting golfers for about twenty years. In 2006 work began to complete the original plan, and a second nine turned it into a full championship course. It is also sold as the C course of the Novo Sancti Petri golf area.
The two halves feel quite different. The front nine is parkland, threading between the houses of the San Andrés development, while the back nine is more demanding, with ancient olive trees, three large lakes and big, open greens. Fairways are fairly narrow and greens quick, so accuracy counts for more than length, and the wind off the Atlantic can make club selection tricky.
There is a driving range and practice area, a clubhouse whose restaurant terrace looks over the first hole, and buggies, trolleys and clubs for hire.
Spring and autumn are the best seasons, avoiding the summer heat and the winter rain. Morning tee times are usually calmer, before the afternoon wind builds along this stretch of the Costa de la Luz.

Chiclana is well supplied with golf. Golf La Estancia (3 km), formerly Melia Sancti Petri, is a par-73 course among olive trees and cork oaks, and Sancti Petri Hills Golf (4 km) lies closer to the coast. For the beach, Playa del Puerco (6 km) takes its name from the old Torre del Puerco watchtower above the sand, while Playa de Sancti Petri (6 km) faces the castle islet off the old fishing village of Sancti Petri. Playa de la Barrosa (7 km) is the long, fine-sand beach that made Chiclana's name as a resort. All are a short drive apart.
