Fort Bravo Texas Hollywood

Fort Bravo Texas Hollywood is a working western film set in the Tabernas Desert, Almería, open every day of the year, with saloon and street stunt shows and horse rides.

About Fort Bravo Texas Hollywood

Fort Bravo lies 4 km from Tabernas, along a track off the N-340a. Its first sets went up in the 1960s, and in 1966 Sergio Leone filmed part of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly here. Stuntman Rafael Molina bought the town in 1981 and opened it to visitors in 1982. Renamed Texas Hollywood in the early 1990s and Fort Bravo around 2008, it is still hired for film shoots.

The western street, cavalry fort, Mexican village and Indian camp cover more than 20 hectares. Saloon shows with can-can and a gunfight run at 12:00 and 17:30, and street shows with a bank robbery at 14:30 and 19:00. A free wagon ride tours the town; children can ride a horse for 15 or 30 minutes, and desert routes are bookable by email.

It opens every day of the year from 09:00, closing at about 19:00. In 2026 adults pay €22.90, ages 12–17 and pensioners €18.90, children 5–11 €12.90, and under-5s go free; shows, the wagon ride and parking are included. The saloon bar serves sandwiches and pizzas, and cabins and a campsite allow an overnight stay. Allow three to four hours.

The streets have little shade, so in summer arrive at 09:00 and watch the 12:00 saloon show indoors. In winter it is one of the few attractions in the area open on weekdays. Bring hats, sun cream, water and closed shoes for the dusty streets, and book desert horse routes a few days ahead.
