Oleotour Cazorla (Aceites Cazorla)
Visitor centre of the Aceites Cazorla cooperative, founded in 1951, 3 km from Cazorla: one of the largest olive mills in the world, an old-mill museum and DOP Sierra de Cazorla tastings.
About Oleotour Cazorla (Aceites Cazorla)
Aceites Cazorla is a cooperative founded in 1951 whose mill stands on the Peal de Becerro road below Cazorla, with the regulatory council of the DOP Sierra de Cazorla on the same site. Its members farm Picual and the local Royal variety in a district with over four million olive trees. The Oleotour visitor centre opened in 2021, and in 2024 the tour won second prize in the national AEMO awards for spreading olive culture.
The route loops for over an hour outdoors: past centuries-old trees, through the storage cellars and the plant, and into the reception yard where growers deliver fruit. A museum recreates an old mill with 1950s machinery and hand-painted 3D murals, and there is a botanic garden of more than 60 native species. The tour ends with a tasting of at least three oils and the bottling line.
Tours run Wednesday to Sunday: Spanish at 10:30, English at 09:00, French at 12:30, about two hours; a minimum of four people is needed, so check by WhatsApp. Adults pay €20, ages 7 to 12 €10, under-6s free; adding the millennia-old wild olive of Las Hoyas costs from €30 (2026). The route is accessible and the car park takes motorhomes.
Come from November to January to see the mill working. Buy the DOP Royal oil. Bring an umbrella in rain or a hat in summer; most of the route is outdoors on paved paths.
