About Arruzafa Golf
Arruzafa Golf is a nine-hole pitch and putt course on the northern edge of Córdoba, beside the Parador de la Arruzafa on the Camino del Patriarca. Paradores inaugurated it in December 2022 as the city's first urban golf course and the first pitch and putt in the province of Córdoba.
The course was built on a plot of 21,363 square metres next to the parador's gardens. Its nine short holes, of up to 120 metres each, are homologated by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation and can be played twice for an 18-hole round. There is a practice tee, an approach area and a putting green, but the main activity is the golf school, with a particular focus on children. Guests staying at the parador can use the golf facilities free of charge. Non-members are welcome.
The setting takes its name from al-Rusafa, the country estate that Abd al-Rahman I, the first Umayyad emir of Córdoba, created on these slopes in the 8th century.
Córdoba is one of the hottest cities in Spain in summer, and in July and August the course opens from 8:00 to 14:00 and again from 18:00 to 23:00. Spring and autumn are the most pleasant seasons; tee off early or late.

Nearby places to visit
From the Arruzafa it is a short drive or taxi ride down to the historic centre, where four museums lie close together. The Al-Iksir Alchemy Museum (3 km), opened in 2017 in a renovated house in the Jewish quarter, was the first museum in Spain devoted to alchemy. The Córdoba Archaeological Museum (3 km) covers the city's long history from prehistory to al-Andalus. The Bullfighting Museum of Córdoba (3 km) occupies the 16th-century Casa de las Bulas and honours the city's matadors, Manolete among them. The Museum of Fine Arts of Córdoba (3 km) completes the set on the Plaza del Potro. Allow a morning for any two.
